Application in Flame retardant

  • Play the role of flame retardant and filling.
  • Non-toxic and odorless, no toxic gas or corrosive gas is generated during combustion, and it does not corrode the mold.

  • Magnesium hydroxide has a high thermal decomposition temperature, which is beneficial to increase the processing temperature of plastics, speed up the extrusion speed, and shorten the molding time.
  • Magnesium hydroxide and acid have strong neutralizing ability, and can neutralize the acid gas sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide generated in the plastic combustion process.
  • Conducive to absorb the heat of combustion and improve the flame retardant efficiency.

Application in Desulfurizer

Adding brucite to the boiler fuel can reduce the harm of high mercury and high sulfur fuel to the boiler, and reduce the emission of sulfur dioxide and other harmful gases. The deep processing of brucite into a non-sedimentation and non-agglomeration active magnesium hydroxide is effectively widely used in the field of flue gas desulfurization.
Magnesium hydroxide is used as a desulfurizing agent to absorb sulfur dioxide in flue gas to generate magnesium sulfite, and the magnesium sulfite is generated into magnesium sulfate with greater solubility by passing into the air. Magnesium hydroxide as a desulfurization agent has the advantages of high reaction activity, high desulfurization efficiency, and low liquid-gas ratio, so it has the characteristics of low comprehensive investment and low operating cost.


 Application in Soil Improver

Improve soil pH, increase soil nutrient utilization rate, improve soil structure, loosen soil, effectively prevent soil compaction, improve the growth environment of crop roots, adjust the soil acid while supplementing magnesium, promote chlorophyll synthesis, improve photosynthesis.

 

Application in Magnesium (magnesium hydroxide) Fertilizer

Magnesium hydroxide and magnesium oxide are the third largest magnesium fertilizer varieties after magnesium sulfate and potassium magnesium sulfate.  Some countries have officially registered it as alkaline magnesium fertilizer. The main component of brucite is magnesium hydroxide, which belongs to the slightly soluble mineral type alkaline magnesium fertilizer. On the one hand, the effective magnesium release rate is slow, usually in the form of slow-acting magnesium fertilizer, on the other hand, due to the low solubility, it is rarely lost.
The brucite granular fertilizer is prepared by mixing brucite, natural magnesium sulfate and lightly burned magnesium, using water or 5% (mass) citric acid solution as a binder, and mixing, granulating, drying and packaging steps. The diameter of2-4mm spherical particles, including: water mass content 1%, hardness 1.5-4kg / cm2, disintegration rate 90%, citric solubility 5%. This product is a pure natural product with round, uniform particles, high hardness, and good disintegration. When mixed with other fertilizers, it is easy to mix evenly, reduce powder pollution and reduce waste.

 

Application in Environmental Protection

Due to the compositional characteristics of brucite, it can be used for acid waste water neutralization treatment. Not only does it have technological advantages over traditional alkaline substances (such as sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, etc.) in many aspects, but it can also greatly reduce costs in terms of product processing and emissions.
Brucite can also be used as a flue gas desulfurizer. Adding brucite to the boiler dye can reduce the harm of high mercury and high sulfur dyes to the boiler and reduce the emission of sulfur dioxide and other harmful substances.

 

Application in Magnesium High Temperature Refractories

Magnesium and calcium oxides are sintered with brucite and dolomite at high temperature, then ground, mixed with organic binders, pressed into molds, and refractory brick products are produced after secondary calcination. This refractory brick can be used in the metallurgical industry to replace the expensive MgO high temperature refractory brick. The advantage of this method is that there is no beneficiation separation for brucite and dolomite, and the cost and technical conditions are greatly reduced.

 

Application in Fireproof Coating

Fire retardant coating is generally used on the surface of the steel structure substrate, which can reduce the flammability of the steel surface, retard the rapid spread of fire, and is a special coating used to improve the fire resistance of steel.  Fire retardant coating refers to a type of coating that is applied to the surface of an object to prevent the occurrence of fire, prevent the spread of fire or isolate the source of the fire, prolong the ignition time of the substrate or increase the performance of the superhuman to delay the time of structural destruction.  
For waste water contain present, a coating has been developed, which is made of cement, brucite and some other substances mixed in an appropriate ratio. This kind of coating has the characteristics of light weight, good decoration, strong weathering resistance, good fire resistance and no flaking after fire. It can be used for surface coating of ships, high-end houses, etc.  

 
Application in Heavy Metal Removal

Copper, zinc, cadmium and other waste water, powdered magnesium oxide, powdered magnesium hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide emulsion can be used as a treatment agent, which can neutralize the acid in the waste water and allow lead ions to precipitate and pass the adsorption of magnesium oxide is further removed. Raw water ph = 2, lead ion content 25mg / l, treated effluent ph = 7, lead ion content 1.0mg / l, lead removal rate above 96%, the treated waste water can reach the discharge standard.
