Magnesium participates in the development of bones and muscles in animals, and can regulate the metabolism and nervous system of animals. It is also a directly related factor for many enzymes in animals and is very important for animal growth and development.

Application in industry

Magnesium sulfate is used for printing and dyeing cotton, as a weighting agent for cotton and silk; as a filler for kapok products; as a coloring salt for blue dyes, as an alkali absorbent in black liquid; as a fertilizer, porcelain, paint, and fireproof material Used as a medium component in the microbial industry, as an additive in brewing, to supplement the magnesium in the brewing water, as a nutritionist during fermentation; as a filler in the tanning industry to enhance heat resistance; used in light industry Used for producing fresh yeast and monosodium glutamate; as a stabilizer in toothpaste production; as a cement coagulant.

Application in industry

After being dissolved in water, magnesium sulfate can react with light burned powder to form magnesium oxysulfide cement. Magnesium oxysulfide cement has good fire resistance, heat insulation, durability and environmental protection, and is used in many fields such as fire door core panels, external wall insulation panels, siliceous modified insulation panels, and fire panels.
